What
is Process Work?
Process Work is an innovative approach to
individual and collective change, which combines psychology, spirituality
and social activism into a single paradigm. Its broad-spectrum applications
include psychotherapy, bodywork, relationship conflict and large
group dynamics. Process Work was developed in the last 25 years
by Drs Amy and Arny Mindell who discovered that the dreaming process
went far beyond our night time dreams and could be seen in physical
symptoms, relationship difficulties, addictions, extreme states
of consciousness, and social tensions. All of these dreamlike processes
- when approached with openness and respect - can lead to new insight
and an energetic shift that is vital for our development. With roots
in Jungian psychology, philosophical Taoism, Zen and modern physics,
Process Work is based on the assumption that the solution to a problem
is contained within the disturbance itself. Recent developments
have deepened the connection between quantum physics and process-oriented
awareness training with the new concept of sentient reality and
24-hour lucid dreaming. The training will focus on methods and tools
for using heightened states of consciousness in the therapeutic
process, to help individuals, couples, families and groups connect
with greater awareness and creativity.
